Raising and selling honeybees and their products since February 2020. Licensed and inspected by the PADoA as a queen and honeybee producer.
I am happy to be a participant in the EPIQ Queen breeding program, focused on sharing info and techniques on producing quality honeybee queens in the northeastern United States. This program is an information tool for 250 queen producers in the northeast.
Offering a hands on, educational beekeeping experience: 2020-2022
Elected in 2019, I have been directing monthly meetings for our regional beekeeping education and social club.
In November of 2023 I was elected to serve Monroe County as their new Controller. I began my first 4 year term on January 2nd 2024. In the Controller's office, we handle paying bills, processing payroll, auditing Monroe County tax collectors, district judges and more. I serve as secretary of the Salary Board, Pension Board, and Prison Board of Inspectors.
Since 2014, I have worked with the Boro of Stroudsburg as well as local businesses in order to ring in the holidays with a festive event, the first Tree Lighting of the season in the Poconos
In 2019 I got approval to hang pride flags on Main street for the first time. This sparked the start of the annual Pocono Pride Festival held in Downtown Stroudsburg.
In early 2024, myself and the coordinators for the Pocono Pride Festival decided to make it official and founded the Pocono Pride Coalition, a 501c4 Non-Profit registered in PA. Our mission is to run the Pocono Pride Festival and support the LGBTQIA+ community of the Poconos
Early 2023 I agreed to join the board of directors for the local humanitarian and arts non-profit, Go Collaborative. This organization is responsible for the Snowmen of Stroudsburg, Halloween on Main, as well as a major sponsor for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
I was the treasurer for the EMPL Board of Trustees, as well as head of the finance committee. I also sat on the board for the EMPL Foundation, responsible for overseeing the libraries long term investments. I was appointed in January of 2021 and served until my resignation in December of 2023 due to a conflict with my elected position as Controller.
In November of 2021 I became certified to operate and inspect voting machines for Monroe County and Pennsylvania elections. I worked the Stroud 4 voting precinct. Due to a conflict with my elected position, I was only able to work one year as a poll worker.
